MOCA Jacksonville endeavors to create a permanent collection of significant depth, scope, and quality to be used for study, scholarly research, and exhibition – all tools that foster an education, awareness and experience with contemporary visual art. Museum of Contemporary Arts Long Island, or MoCA LI, is the newly defined exhibition space of the Patchogue Arts Council (PAC). Artists represented in the collection include Hans Hofmann, Alexander Calder, Alex Katz, Robert Longo, Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Rauschenberg, Paul Jenkins, Jules Olitski, Philip Pearlstein, Jim Dine, James Rosenquist, and Joan Mitchell. The Museum of Contemporary Art Beijing (MoCA Beijing) is located at the Art Center Park in Songzhuang Town, Beijing. The Museum's permanent collection consists of nearly 1,000 works of art, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, and photography. The unique placement, dimensions and scale of MOCA's Haskell Atrium Gallery provide a compelling challenge to the chosen artist-a call to reinvention and active collaboration with the architecture of the museum on a monumental scale. Japanese architect Arata Isozaki created a contrast to the extreme heights of the Bunker Hill glass-and-steel high rise towers by designing MOCA as a sunken, red sandstone-clad space. In addition to private donations, funds for MOCA came from a 1.5 % allocation of budgets from Bunker Hill development projects required to go towards public art.
